ok, so ive just bought a 300tdi with NO sills:confused:, NO boot floor:(, NO wheelarches, wanders like my grand dad on the ****,:p and vibrates like my missus'top drawer on a friday night. (why do womens knicker drawers vibrate like that? any comments..)

Worst underside but spotless topside of any disco ive owned, and my project for 2010. (got to be done! was a power boat last year!)

any help and advice greatly received, especially where to buy el-cheapo boot floor panels and how to replace sills with meaty box section steel to make rock sliders.

ta lots.:D

Your Disco was a powerboat last year!? Good luck fella! Don't know about boot floors, mine was done when I bought it. Just picked up a cheapo pair of tree sliding sills off of ebay - only 80 for pretty meaty galvanised unpainted jobbies.

:welcome2:

get on, chap!
i'll take a look on e bay for bits.
me disco-sting disco wasnt a powerboat last year, but considering the 'ooh f?@k why arnt the brakes biting???' performance of my very sickly landies' anchors as i approached the quayside in Looe to turn into my parking spot, with the tide at full flood, it very nearly WAS a power boat!!! well, not so much powerboat as submarine!!
haha! Never mind, i've great hopes for the old crate! weld frenzy on weekend!

One of the underappreciated industry these days is the welding industry primarily because it is not for everyone. Very few people enter such industry because it is physically tiring and challenging. But people who work in the welding industry have high salaries because of the health hazard associated with such work. Moreover, welding is a job that is important to businesses as well as products, manufacturing buildings, and other infrastructure. Hence, welding is an essential part of our every day lives and being a welder is not a job that should be looked down.
When most of us think about the importance of welding industry, at first we think that it does not have that huge impact to our lives. However, welding is very crucial among industries such as the construction and automotive industry. Welding uses important safety tools like boots, gloves, helmets and jackets. The huge buildings that we see in the city will not be possible without the people who work in the welding industry. Even our houses and every part of it will not exist.

Re the Disco Google the panels. Everybody does em about the same price. I did my old disco boot floor, sides etc and got them from Paddocks and they were fine and a reasonable price. With regards to box section sills, do a search on here. I'm sure I've seen a post Bout them withe sizes etc. Oh yeah, welcome aboard too
