What have you done to your Freelander today

Not today, but I doused the drive belt with a Mr. Muscle Kitchen Degreaser spray (mostly just trying to rid the engine bay of old oil seepage) and the belt has quietened right down. Once again, I get to be lazy and not change the belt. :D

My SD4 MY15 was £260 last year. £265 this year. 185gm with dpf.

Much easier on the pocket then!

Need to mot the D3 first though as runs out next month, wants rear roll bars bushes (got bushes just need fitting) and an OSF wheel bearing + what ever else tester decides

We never doubted for a second mate.
Well done. :)

Thanks Ali. I've just taken it for a drive, and it's drivable, but lumpy still. I'm hoping it'll improve as the piston rings bed in, and the valves carbon up a bit. I'll drive it gently, to aid the bedding in process. But at least it starts quickly, and seems to run OK. :)

Track rods and ends replaced, along with a siezed cailper pin. Productive day. Just awaiting the arrival of a new tailgate window regulator and everything will be fully functional on the old girl again, for now......

Drove it to work for the first time. Still misfiring when cold, and spluttering under throttle, but needs must as the wife's Fiat 500 1.4 suffered brake failure yesterday.

The Freelander 2 does drive superbly, misfiring aside, so I'm looking forward to getting it fixed.

I pulled mine into the garage, popped the hood and took a rubber mallet to the ABS ECU in hopes that BOOM, it'll work. No joy. Cleaned up the ground points leading to the ABS ECU.. now just sitting thinking if i should order the ABS ECU on ebay or continue selling this thing.
