Hi all, I’ve just bought a Range Rover sport 2.7 hse 55 reg.. so... I have a little problem, driving from cold it’s great smooth gear change no problem or noise revs sitting perfect..! When it’s warm I have a knock coming from the centre of the car, an revs wonder up an down..! Can anyone tell me what this is..?
I’ve been told it’s the bearing in the gearbox on there way out..? Is this correct.?
Thanks jay.

Not sure about the revs but check along the prop shaft, there is a bearing at the center that can fail.
The rubber support for the bearing breaks down and the prop can jump about on gear change and deceleration. ;)

Ok buddy nice 1, I shall have a little look over the week end.. just trying to eliminate the proper before I spend loads of ££,s ha.

Centre prop bearing would show faulty hot or cold and wont effect revs.
Simple code read would help if it's the gearbox or torque converter provided there are codes stored.
Mates centre prop bearing went on his and it showed under acceleration foot down hard and bang bang bang.
