Gone sunny here!!!
Out to treat the wooden bits under the new roof on the swimming pool thingy that takes the pump, sand filter etc, then cleaning out the floor and fitting the freezer into the new emporium I have made for it. Wifey is chuffed with how it looks and the weight the reinforced shelves can take.
:D:D:D:D:D:D

Old mini rims.... the tyres come off the back. ;) Never made a tyre planter the last thing I wanted to
see at home was painted tyres in the garden. o_O
Got no Mini now! Typical, the advice comes along too late! But will pass it onto grandson who has all my old Mini books and knowledge! Although training as a vehicle mechanic with the RAF he hates doing tappets, there's me thinking "You've still got a lot to learn!"
Painted tyres? We never bothered, we just stuck the earth in them and tried it out!
Another bonkers tree-fu cker idea!

Am I the only one on here to use a bit of old worktop to run my jack down under a Landy when jacking it up on gravel or dirt?
Find it can take some weight without marking up or denting.

Usually the only bit of worktop ive got left is the part cut out of the sink I suppose it would do the
bottle jack, granite does crack quite easily though.

The auld rule of 9 it is then. :D Id let him struggle with the tyre for a while then send him to make
a cuppa then whip the tyre off haha ;):D

This is my bread board. Can you guess where it came from?

That is a very good use of the bit removed for the Belfast Sink. :)
They threw that away as well. It is in my garage awaiting treatment. It may become 2 chopping boards. ;)

Granite! Huh! We only has that in Frogland, the stuff in Britland is ornery, or fairly ornery and we aint got any offcuts of that either cos we had the funny stuff fitted, it had to be joined weirdly.
But I have off-cuts of the previous two laminate worktops and they are good and thick.
I'd hate to try and slide a huge lump of granite like that anyway, well, I say huge, if it was for a single sink it may not be too huge!
So, no answer to that then!
I also use it for a work table in what I call the workshop in Frogland. Piece of thick laminate and two trestles. Can at least mount a pretty serious vice to it.:):):)

Just seem this, get notices from "Wish" all the time, they do sell stuff off cheap,
so had a look

Seems to do Jaguar Land Rover according to the blurb, although it aint the dedicated one.
"European (2001-now ): for Abarth, for Alfa-Romeo, for Audi, for AstonMartin, for BMW, for Bugatti, for Bentley, for Citroen, for Dacia, for EU Ford, for Fiat, for Jaguar, for Lancia, for Land Rover, for Maserati, for Maybach, for Mercedes Benz, for Mini, for Opel, for Peugeot, for Porsche, for Renault, for Saab, for Seat, for Skoda, for Smart, for Sprinter, for Vauxhall, for Volvo, for VW"

I always made a bread board for the customer of a fitted kitchen. Just a nice touch.
That is quite nice isn't it. The bods who fitted our worktop in Engerland did the same, though it is so heavy we just use it to store bottles of oil etc near the hob!
But certainly a nice touch and use for a bit that otherwise goes west!
