And here is my little coffee-table after a few wet-coats of food-safe mineral oil (same as used for wooden worktops & chopping boards/blocks).
I am very pleased with it. I will let the oil soak in for a few days and then do a bit more. It can probably then be buffed a little to a lustre.
A very cheap table. Top was free, legs were £32 the set.

Ive got a chunk of that worktop in the shed forgot all about it, usually when wood is lying about
it ends up as heating material. o_O:D

Look up SkiSki legs on t'interweberometer thingy. They are really good.

Just looked I agree real good to look at :D:D

Morning All :D
Gently raining here, so unlikely to be painting today.:(
Gym later, all chores done.:)
May need to sneak into the jewelers after gym for a present for her for our 45th anniversary.
To balance the spending up I bought myself a new Milwaukee twin-pack combi & impact. ;)
Have a great day all. :D

Busy day :D
1st coat of all the gloss paint is on and curing in the sunshine. :)
Then I spent an hour or so squaring up a reclaimed oak worktop offcut my son had thrown into the skip.
I am going to make it into a coffee-table by adding a set of hairpin legs.
It has come up really well, I am very pleased indeed.:)
Also had the dent on my Rangie taken out by a PDR specialist. He got it 97% gone, but was unwilling to go any further because the paint was showing the beginning of a crack.
It cost a fair bit (£108) and it's a good repair because I can no longer see the pronounced dent from the driving seat. :)
Next will be a new headlining and sunroof trim. :D

Many swap stuff on Gumtree for pennies...
Or get rid of it through Freecycle.
Although peeps on there can be amazingly choosy!
Tried to get rid of a huge sun umbrella via Emmaus in nearby town. One of those that needs four slabs to hold the base as the parasol actually dagles off a boom and can be moved around in and out etc.
There was a tiny tear to the fabric. That was it, they didn't want the Ffing thing!
Still residing in its cover in a bunch of weeds.

Morning all, stinking weather here pizzin doon says its to be sunny after cant see it tbh.
The fire is lit got some Lebanese cedar left & it smells wonderful.

The whales are still here & are loosing weight an seam distressed with tail flapping & swimming
in circles according to eggsperts :(:(
They are in the shallows at Garelochead an seam to go to Faslane Navel base then turn back??
A major operation to rescue them is starting tomorrow called Operation joint warrior.
I really hope they can get them out to deeper water.

I'll be hiding in the sheds out the rain have a safe day ya'll.

I just remove them from the rim does help when if you were a tyre fitter for years lol
Bit of angle iron & a lump hammer will break the beads but then I try to save the rims
without putting a 1mm cutting disc through them, you must like the smell of burning rubber :D
Was speaking metaphorically, I suppose, although not a tyre fitter I can get one off and back on again, except for the small Mini wheels, could never manage them. :(, then you can chuck one out at a time or pass them on to idiots who try to plant spuds in them like that long haired bloke off t telly. We tried it once, load of bollox, then we still had to get rid of the tyres!

Am I the only one on here to use a bit of old worktop to run my jack down under a Landy when jacking it up on gravel or dirt?
Find it can take some weight without marking up or denting.

Old mini rims.... the tyres come off the back. ;) Never made a tyre planter the last thing I wanted to
see at home was painted tyres in the garden. o_O
