Took out the beast today for 100 mile round trip:)
It was really nice, but have developed a reluctance to pull well from below 2k rpm feels like a misfire, kick it down and off she goes. So i guess i will have to have a set of plugs & Leads at the ready, think plugs have been in 3k now, and leads are about 8yrs old and it does get hot under that bonnet. must get the manifolds wrapped, although it seems a shame to cover up those works of art.
If i am gonna be in there for that may as well do oils and filters.
I feel a shopping list coming:D

Also popped in and had a look at the New Pretender;) As a new car its very nice with all the gadgets, they have tried to keep some sort of defender traits (if thats a way to describe them). But as a Defender replacement NO. Was told by the salesman they will be fitting an inline 6 next year and he has taken orders for them rather than the present 1;). All i can say is they should have kept it as a dirty workhorse, they have plenty of that type of car in their range at the moment. Oh there is room for a V8 under the bonnet:D
