Hi, 2006, TD6 model, am trying to find the torque setting for the rear diff, front pinion nut. Can find other torque settings just not for the rear diff. Thanks.

Front pinion nuts are normally torqued to a set bearing pre-load, which is difficult to measure without the diff being on the bench. The correct way to reset the pinion nut, is to mark the fitted position, then count how many rotations it takes to remove it. Then you count the same number of turns back on, pulling the nut back to the mark previously made. ;)

Thanks, Diff is out and on the bench, I thought it was a torque setting, I marked the spline to be able to fit back in the right place but didn't think about marking for rotations for refitting the nut....... doh. have since been told that the torque setting is 180nm. fingers crossed.....
