Hello All,

Ive been having an issue with the low pitch horn on LR Defender 2.2 TDCI 110 Puma, It seems like it was intermittent at times and now is completely not responding to horn switch is pressed however, the high pitch is working. This vehicle is fitted with an anti theft module (non auto door lock) and when the alarm sounds (from opening a door whole alarm is engaged) both horns sound as normal. Does anyone have an idea what the fault may be?

Please post in the relevant section. Defender section would be a good start.
Cheers Kev

Hi Thor, The horn its self works as it sounds when the alarm goes off, I think it may be a junction somewhere but not sure where to look
Thats a problem then, and with many different possibilities a good auto mechanic is probably required

You need a wiring diagram to trace the power to the horn from the switch, I don't have unfortunately but I expect there will be one on here somewhere in the search facility. The first place I would look for the fault would be in the horn switch itself.
