L322 Ride Height

got a 2003 L322 TD6 want to put some off road wheels on it ive installed the johnsons 2" lift kit and would like to increase it abit more is there other software units that can be used to increase the height apart from the overpriced IID tool? thanks

When you say 2” lift kit do you mean just spacer blocks?

they are little rods you replace on the height sensors to make the car think it is lower so the ecu will increase the height but they only do 2"

A re-calibration would be my first port of call..

No idea why you'd want an extra 2" though stock it is more than capable

@Saint.V8 has a height chart, I believe for the L322

You are limited by the air bags, IMO you're already over inflated by 2" in off road height.

Get the gap llD tool it's not over priced considering what you can do with it.
I'm about to reflash a D3 ecu with mine even the main dealer said they cant do that.

Have you ever jacked the car on the sills allowing the wheels to dangle? That is obviously full articulation....

The only thing with the L322 is that the ride heights are all based on a single datum height, the calibration height. The ECU then auto-calculates the correct ride heights from this datum figure.

You can of course fool the ECU by inputting different height readings from this datum, but it will affect all the other ride heights...say you put in a +15mm figure when it is sitting at datum...all the other heights will be increased by this same amount.

The P38 on the other hand you can set different heights for the different ride height settings, so you could indeed increase the off road height by 10-15mm say, and the standard and motorway heights would be unaffected.

I get what you're saying and that is my point. The op has already fooled the ecu by putting a 2" lift on the sensors so has already inflated the airbags by 2" to start with.

Ahhhh....I didn't read the thread from the beginning....if it is already 2" above the normal off road height via a mechanical means, then you can offset the ECU datum by an amount to get it to electrical increase its height....how much further you can go I don't know.

I'm sure the D2 will go a bit over offroad height if it thinks it's beached and if the L322 is the same IMO he's already at that limit.

If I had mine still I'd see how far you could crank them up without a bag going BANG!

Someone on here tried it not long ago and pressure release valve kicked in.
