Diesel Leak where from

Noticed a diesel leak, everytime I park up, Im certain its not from any of the Unions or Injector Pipes above, it seems to be coming from this area in pics, it covers the oil light plug then runs down side of filter . Just can not see exactly where it is coming out from. What's the threaded hole for on bottom of Pump ? cant tell if it is coming out of that or not.
Any Ideas ?

I recommend a darn good clean and then a recheck.

There is a plate with 2 bolts in the centre of the photo. Clean around that plate with carb cleaner and see if it’s coming from there. Behind the plate is an O ring seal. I had to replace mine last year, but mine failed spectacularly.

I would also do what @neilly suggests and clean the whole lot up, it makes these things easier.

Will try and give it a god clean, its very hard to get in there, only access is from lying underneath really.

Removing the 2 torx bolts from the underneath could be fun, I had a pump where one of them was so tight it would not undo using the torx , ended up having to butcher it off and that was on the bench, So be careful however you do it, if you find the plate is the leak area.

Wel thats just what I wanted to hear

. Just noticed they are torx will give them a good wd 40 before even trying,
With a bit of luck they might just want nipping up.

I ended up replacing mine with standard M6 stainless bolts. To be fair though, the Torx ones came out relatively easily. I had to use a bit of force to crack them, but came straight out after. I couldn’t get anything on mine to nip them up.

Well found where its coming from but how do we solve it ? or is there even a way to solve it ?

If that plate comes loose you will soon know about it....
I lost 1/2 a tank within minutes when driving.
I replaced with hex heads

Not sure myself, would think it would come out of somewhere with a seal, not from there.

Looks like the rear O ring has failed, you are not going to change that on the car. But the good news is, it is not too bad a fix. If you are not comfortable taking the FIP apart then pay someone to do it, preferably no the muppet who did it last time.

Which O ring Mate ? and where exactly is it in the pump ?.

Do you mean the Torx bolts ?, think they are its very hard to get the torx in to check them

Look at post 13, as suggested, open the link, look at the schematic blown open diagram and it could be number 37.

The bolts @Hicap phill I beleive is on about are the ones numbered 26 and there are 4 of them.
