This is regarding my L322. 2004 TDI 6
I have put a few post out about inactive suspension fault which could be a number of things.
In my case I firstly I had to replace the offside bottom ball joint that’s when I noticed the height sensor had detached from the bottom arm and further investigation I found the sensor body had cracked, then I checked the near side sensor that body was split as well.

I ordered these sensors from brit parts and the sensor plugs have been modified from six pin to three pin but still fitted.
I then checked the rear sensors and found near side the bottom fixing had failed.
I ordered the rear sensor kit from brit parts the rear sensors come as a six pin plug, the sensors was fitted
the rear suspension dropped to original position but the front air bags deflated onto the bump stops.
If anybody gets any suspension faults, steering angle sensor or any other faults don’t waste your time just order a faultmate FCR
I went through every system on my car and it identifies every fault and cleared them all and now my air suspension is sitting level no faults on the system and all’s well

And the best thing is it only took 10 minutest to achieve this

So Faultmate FCR is the way to go

sensor plugs have been modified from six pin to three pin but still fitted.

IMO there is a 3 wire and a 6 wire option depending on which headlights you have. The other three are for self leveling headlights.

Good shout on the faultmate always good to have options:)

It’s been a bit of a trial this one should have bought the faultmate weeks ago.
I also have a Creader professional reader but would not touch the RR
Rather than spends hours second guessing what’s wrong plug in the faultmate and it will tell you the fault and clear the fault unless the part has failed
Fantastic bit of kit but not cheap at over £300
If you want to keep your RR on the road by a faultmate
