Hi i appreciate this has probably been done to death (sorry) but looking at tyres for my FL2 main use will be on road so I'd take wet grip rating over economy and without sounding vain I'd like rugged looking tyres with decent on road manners for the occasional off road use. It's currently sitting on 19 inch rims but i haven't ruled out a possible second set of 18's. Has anyone got recommendations

I also have 19 inch wheels which are standard fit on the FL2 model I have. I continue to use the continental cross contact 4x4 uhp 235/55R19 which LR fitted when it was first new. They're not cheap but I only fit good quality tires. My FL2 is mainly used on road with occasional oft road use.

To be frank rough pattern tires are not suited to the FL1 and FL2. the suspension on a FL1 can't take out the rumble of the tread. A FL2 can take out more, but not enough. You end up making a mess of yer car. The rumble and vibration at speed is orrible. Have a look at the fred below where have recently been taking about this.

Michelin Latitude Cross are a really good all round tyre, with loads of high rated reviews, long life and look pretty good too;).

I'm not sure if they come in 19" but they do come in the standard FL2 18" tyre size.;)

Got the evoque wheels and they look great but i was wondering what the maximum size tyres i could safely put on? The wheels are 8x18 and the tyres i want are only available in 235/65 17 or 255/55 18, will they be too wide

Having now bought a FL2:D, I'm sticking to the standard 17" wheels with 235/65/17 tyres, as I'll be able to use a wide range of AT tyres. I did think about going for 18's, but decided against it due to the lack of tyres available, and the increased cost of them.:(

I would think might foul the inner arch liner, as there's not much spare room with the standard 235/65/17.
