Help with smoke

hi as most of you will no i have a l322 td6 and have done loads of work on it second hand engine gearbox rebuild now have it running and driving good but i get some smoke wean i get to 30 mpa then if i stop and leave it running for a minute it goes and then get back up to 30mpa and its back i have only drove it 4 miles on my road as I have had it off the road for 4 months but I can leave it on tikover for 2 hours and no smoke have changed every filter one the car i do have a little bit of oil coming from the turbo down to the intercoole inside the intercoole pipe but not a lot can some one please advise me on this thanks justin
 
Ok so the engine was good in the car I got it from no smoke had it delivered put it in complete and it was smoking so charged evry filter cleaned out the intercoole and evry oil pipe have had the intake off and cleaned it and its a lot better but still smoking am i best to just pull the turbo off and see if it has oil in parts wear it should not be what do you think thanks
 
I always like to check codes with something like allcomms to see if it gives you any clues but as above , turbo seals could introduce engine oil into the inlet with the potential of a runaway which is an interesting situation.
injector leak off test can give an idea of injector health although may not show much if you are good at idle.
White smoke is probably unburnt fuel but engine oil would burn with a similar colour so injector putting in too much or turbo not providing enough wind giving a similar effect I guess. Diagnostics for the fuelling and turbo are quite comprehensive so it would be worth plugging it in if you can.
Having said all that, if you have oil coming out of the exhaust you probably already have your answer so that’s two minutes of your life you are not getting back after reading all my dribble..

It could be a mechanical fault with an injector, therefore no code may be apparent. A leak off test will reveal any mechanical injector problems.
 
Ok so turbo is off and has play in it but just back and forwards but a lot and it kicks so have a spare one that has no play in it so will get this one on do you think this may be the problem and be cursing the smoke thanks
 
Thanks well the exhaust manifold has no oil in it the exhaust it dry from what I can feel with my hand have little bit of oil coming in from the breather that goes to the turbo will see if i can get the spear turbo i have on today if i can get out there
 
the old engine was smoking bad like fog i have had a look at the old turbo and its got loads of play in it and the turbo that I have just taken off has less but still has play in it just a wondering can I start the car with the turbo off just to see if it has smoke coming out of the manifold
