Hi
Can someone please let me know if when the door on freelander 2 is left open should a light come on the dashboard and a pinging sound be heard? As in every other car I’ve had this has been the normal occurrence but not with this one.
many help would be appreciated.

Thank you, you wouldn’t know where these sensors are located and if it’s an easy fix so I can check them out would you?

If yer lock it with the door/bonnet/tailgate not fully closed, the horn will bleep. If the electrics are on the dash will display a warning.
If yer drive it with a door not fully closed, it should chime inside to warn you and display a warning on the dash.

Thank you - clearly I’ve got some problem with it as none of these things are happening so now it’s a matter of figuring out they why’s
 
What is it doing or not doing? Do all doors lock/unlock? Does it lock all doors with the remote?

yes all the door are locking/unlocking it’s just if I’ve left the door open slightly by mistake there isn’t a sound or anything on the dashboard to state that the door is open.

When the door is slightly open will it lock with the remote?

Driving or stationery? There is only a chime if you start driving with a door ajar. If you try to lock it with a door ajar, then the horn will sound a quick honk.

Mine chimes if the key fob thing is in the ignition and the door is open. I don't have to be driving for it to happen.
