Sounds like battery dying/damp got in there.

Check your battery voltages and leave it air out.
Has you boot button stopped working?
Thanks, will do :)
Recent hot, hot weather helped to dry the car out - plus a towel wedged under the driver's floor carpet!! (Thought I saw fish swimming under there!)

Boot button still works.

More on the door latch issue

The "original" door latch was giving rise to spurious random central locking operations - so I swapped it out for a replacement 2nd hand unit - but that appears to be 100% duff. Frankly no idea where to start with it. Did wonder if I could make a good one out of the old one and the its replacement... But knowing what a ball ache it is to remove and replace, have been stalling on the operation.

All words of wisdom gladly received.

Boot button still working is good sign

Marty has a test sheet here somwhere, work your way though it will deduce the issue
Issue sounds like what we call ‘ghost locking’ : look that up in searchbar
Or just send your old lock to @martyuk and get a refurbed one off him.I've got some to send him but the Enemy decided that we should sell the caravan so lve been busy with getting that ready, I'm really not happy letting it go. :(

you Gonna get any use out the caravan - won’t need it on a plane?
If she takes you for half the house you can buy another one, or build a wall between east & west wings?
I just loved using it, even to get away for the weekend. Sadly haven't used it for years due to the strokes, she doesn't like going to far from our locsl hospital.I'd rather sell up in Fuerteventura and keep it.She did hint at downsizing the other week. She'll change her mind after the weekend.judging by the number of views and watchers we've had on the Bay everyone is thinking of a staycation this year.

Get new slider pins & boots too.

I sure would not be going to the Canaries this year Alan, could easily end up in a lock down there if Covid-19 flares up again.

It's usually hte micro switches that fail, so not much chance of making a good one out of 2 duff ones I'm afraid.
