I guess this will be a write off - if my insurer lets me keep the salvage, does anyone know of any repairers in stoke on trent if i supply 2nd parts ?.
bumper bonner n/s wing, headlight,indicator, radius arm as its bent like a banana and front diff leaking oil not sure of any other damage underneath. it starts and will drive once a new drag link is fitted, apart from the fact there will be no oil in the diff because the propshaft must have ruptured it.

Very few garages/repair shops will allow customer-supplied parts. If they fit them, they are liable for them - and unless they supply them they have no comeback up the supply chain.
Also suspect there is a lot more to the damage that you might think.

Like bent chassis/axle tube.
+1 ^^^, judging by the position of your front wheel in relation to the wheel arch. I had a bent rear axle, and that also bent the radius arm to the point it had to be taken off with a gas axe.
It may be worth pricing up the secondhand parts and replacing what you can yourself, then getting just the bodywork done by a body shop.
But the cost of the parts may well excede those of the right-off value, and then the car would be marked down as D1/2/3 etc as far as insurance goes.
Heartbreaking I know, but it may be worth buying the wreck back then stripping it and selling off the known-to-be-good parts.:(:(:(

Vehicle is being picked up and sent to the disposal firm in Chester tomorrow for damage assessment. Just put a new full exhaust on it last Friday, plus brake accumulator and plugs and ht leads - gutted

Your problem is that once it heads off to the disposal firm you are unlikely to see it again. The cost of returning it to you and the expenditure on moving it about the place will rack up costs against you.
I would regard that as repairable - But whether it is economical to repair is another thing.

To return it to pre-accident condition will require lots of small parts as well as the big ones. I wouldn't entertain it without a spares car to plunder. However, I don't think it would be too hard to find a smaller body shop with a flair for the Land Rover marque, in your area who would 'manage' the spares car and do the repair. Expect the job to exceed the market value of the car by some margin tho'
 
I have a complete 2000 model that you can have for scrap value.
I've been quoted 262 quid for it online.
Match that and it's yours.
Would need trailering away though as it's been laid up for a couple of years.
 
I'm a little concerned how the drag link balljoint failed, was it badly worn or a faulty part? outcome could've been a lot worse.
I agree with you as it happened on a quiet country road with very little traffic. It passed its mot last October and was only used 14 miles a day until lockdown in March. Hasn't been used for 4 months until this week.
Wasn't picked up at mot time. It's just worn out and failed without warning, I guess a rack and pinion setup would not have failed.

No, I've not advertised it anywhere, just let those in this forum know it's available.
Not in a desperate hurry to get rid of it and would rather help a member out than just give it to the breakers

Mine had been sorned for 10 months before I recommissioned it last October as it was bought as a winter car for the snowdrifts we get up here.
Then the Covid business struck in March and have been furloughed until Monday this week.

It's a 4.0 thor hse model.
It was a daily driver when it was laid up.
It's Tatty in places especially the interior as it got damp.
Can't remember without looking what the front end was like body wise but I don't recall any major corrosion or damage.
Like I said, you would need to trailer it away.
If you want to have a look, we're not far from you, just over an hour away I guess.
