Any ideas please
Discovery TD 5 52 plate
My traction control has gone extremely sensitive to the point where just driving down road and hitting drain cover or small potholes it activates non of the 3 amigos are on just the TC light coming on and off
Many thanks
Mark

Hi Mark, First thing I'd check is the wheel bearings for play. Others will add to this for things to check as well.

Done that one 2 about 3 mths old other 2 about 6 all still good on recheck
Are they all the same brand? if not and all are cheap brandless aftermarkets or some branded others not what happens is not uncommon cos theTC is quite sensitive from factory and cheap hubs dont have a ''balanced'' output, there is no problem with the system as it passes the stationary self check but the sensor's outputs are not similar at the same wheel speed, some cheap hubs have less teeth on te reluctor ring then the moving outputs are different and the ECU interprets it as wheel spin so the TC kicks in, i've seen this many times

That’s a very good point but in this instance why did they not play up from day one
You are correct 2 front are non genuine eBay

Can this be caused by tyres also? I.e running 2 tyres on same axle with different wear? A mud terrain at 15mm new with one at 4mm would have a different rolling radius and wonder if this could trigger issues.
But as advised above, the hubs are one of those items where you need to buy quality items.
My ABS was very sensitive on worn tyres, im guessing because they had no grip!
