Hi new here and sorry if this has been asked,
I have 2003 discovery 2 had it about a month the key fobs never worked only been able to lock / unlock with the key only. Went to start it few weeks ago opened it and the alarm went off and won’t start, assuming it’s the immobiliser. Ive got the eka code from land rover and tried to put it in countless times. (Even phoned the aa to give it a try and they couldn’t enter It either) think it might have been changed in the past.... I have just bought a nanocom to help with this but it’s saying cannot communicate with the ecu ( I think it means ‘bcu’ as in that menu on the nanocom) and is says the ecu is immobilised. I have tried a working receiver in the head cloth and a second bcu although I don’t know what condition the bcu is in and still not working. Would a know working bcu work. And if so what’s the procedure to fit it? Please help I’m going grey over this lol thanks

Hi. Yes a known good BCU which is not immobilised should work, disconnect battery(negative first) swap tye BCU, reconnect battery(positive lead first), turn ignition on 2 and leave it so 5 minutes, connect nanocom, "Td5 Engine - Utility - learn security code" then go into BCU and addapt all settings to match the vehicle's equipment + synk the fob... you can set your own EKA from small numbers as to be easy to insert
