hi guys
may sound daft but what is the transfer fluid used in the 3.0td6 mine needs topping up and rang land rover who said we carnt sell 1 litre of it as they have to buy a box of 12 and dont sell it often... ebay has lots but wich is the right one....cheers

The Shell TF0753 fluid (p/n IYK 500010), referred to above, is for the Magna Steyr DD295 transfer box used with later models with 6- and 8-speed transmissions (capacity 1.5 litres).

You have the New Venture Gear NV225 transfer box which uses Castrol BOT26 FMB1 75W-90 fluid (p/n STC 4861). It’s stupidly expensive, but you only need 1 litre. The fluid for the New Venture unit was formulated by Castrol to give the required friction characteristics for the Torsen Type B centre differential and the range-change synchroniser cones, so it’s important to use the correct fluid.
