many thks

well that isn’t a plain commercial , its 2 x steps down from the highest spec u can get , so you’ve done extremely well there , u have the centre screen which should also show u the 4x4 screen

plus with the ign on and screen turned on, press the top of the blank part of the screen, a hidden menu will appear

fingers crossed the fuses have just been pulled for ur rear windows as everything should be there , hopefully won’t be too hard to remove the rear door film , enclosed some pics of my seats , I see what u mean know ref the bench seat

I’m not 100% but assume u paid VAT with it being classed as a commercial, personally I would remove the film, get the windows working and also ensure all the door locks work, plus make sure all the doors open , it’s an mot failure otherwise

if u look at ur middle row seats overhead lights, see if u have 3 x round dials there

Also as u sit in the middle row seats, look at the back of the centre console, u should have an aux socket there under a flap , plus see if there’s 2 x switches with seat symbols on them

there’s a good few of us now owning D3 and more than happy to help u get it all sorted out

can of course upgrade ur rear seats later on, so if u get it all working , MOT, then contact the insurance company to say it’s been inspected , V5 changed to a D3 XS u should then be ok to insure it as a private motor as the tax class will also change

others will be able to advise u better but wondering if u can claim ur vat back seeing it will no longer be a commercial

also plse make sure that oil pump cover , timing belts have been done

Plse let us know how u get on and top marks for getting a great level of D3

Plus , is always best to change the overhead interior bulbs to LEDS as if u leave ur door open for a few hours u pr battery will go flat

also , are u and ur other half good at spannering as we can talk u through anything u need to get it up to spec

Ur also see I removed the film on my rear doors and rear window because I found it difficult to see out of them at night

any thing u or ur beloved need plse give any of us a shout

do u need workshop manuals, wiring manuals as well

@gstuart Thanks very much for the well done reassuring to know i got something right with my purchase at last I wasn’t charged VAT so another bonus. All doors work and and its flew through all but 1 previous MOTs prior to my owning (and that was wipers and tyre all sorted ) pretty sure i saw oil pump cover and timing belts on the invoices but i’ll check and also i’ll check all the switches you mention next time we’re in it... No other half ( more trouble than the car hehe ) just 2 grandsons and me myself and i so a lot for a dumb female to contend with but thanks to you fab lot i’m getting there

Is yours a commercial too then or just had the door film for privacy? My boys like it all blacked out to be honest

Pm's were changed to Conversations a while ago. There should be an envelope symbol near the top of yer screen. Click it. Then click Start new conversation.

Put his name in the sent to bit. Only you and him will be able to see the info. He needs the vin number.
