Confused? You will be. I’ve just been on the phone to AF to order a few parts. The guy asked me if my car was a single or a twin turbo. I said it’s a 3.0 2011 d4, SI it will be a twin turbo. He said D4’s 3.0 v6’s can be single or twin turbo. I gave home my reg number so he could check on his computer. He said it was a single! So I called Ripon Land Rover. Gave them my reg number, and they said it’s a twin turbo. They also said Landrover don’t make a 3.0 v6 with a single turbo. They stated only the 2.7 had single turbo.
So had anyone personally seen a 3.0 a single turbo? It’s concerning that two Landrover specialists give totally conflicting information.

I thought 3.0litre disco 4 was single turbo, but same engine in Range Rover sport was twin turbo, there is a subtle difference in performance
My son has a RR sport autobiography which is 3.0d and I absolutely agree there is a noticeable difference in performance. However, the later generation discovery & RR both have a slight increase in the bhp, and the have the 8 speed box in. So.. maybe the difference I’m noticing is the extra bhp and the 8 speed box (my sons rr is newer than my D4). Importantly, the road tax on the newer RR sport is MUCH cheaper than the D4 (6 speed)!!
