Hi guys.hope everyone is as well as expected.Im know there is loads of threads regarding this topic to which I have scanned many times. I have my defender 110 ,td5 , it did have a starting issue at times just not catching but turning over lovely, so I rebuild the starter.it spins over great.there is sufficient juice in the new heavy duty battery . Even when cranking there is still good residual charge. the snap on versus pro says noisy crank signal and live data shows no rpm only now and then show maybe 60 rpm for a second. have changed the crank sensor With 3 replacements all new . The wire to c/s wasn’t great so I’ve replaced the terminal and wire with brand new twisted and shielded cable back to loom where it enters ecu. All soldered and correct .I previously went down the fuel path.changed filters in filter housing . Im getting over 4 bar at fuel reg. Pump is in good order had scope on it.it runs prime cycle good. Tested all relays., did get it started by towing although reluctantly. And if I start with easy start it again reluctantly starts and will run loverly.Rev nicely And I can leave it like that for ages 20 minutes plus. And while running the live data shows rpm as it should be even when accelerating.sweet as a sewing machine. if even put a shim on c/s ..measured down the crank sensor aperture in ten places to check sensor depth to fly wheel .all good.. even made a small faraday cage to wrap around sensor to prevent interference.crazy I know !,turn it off and NOTHING.back to no rpm on diagnostics while cranking and no starting. now I’m at the point where I’m thinking of getting ecu tested. Could anyone suggest Where I might get it tested...Any more pointers would be greatly appreciated..thank you. By the way 8 weeks on and off trying stuff.

Bushcraft4u,
I feel for you. You seem to have done all the right things. If you go down the ECU route I can recommend ECU testing.

They are not cheap but you get a lifetime warranty on the whole unit not just their repair I have used them and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
