hi guys got a big problem my l322 3.0td6 2005 will not start it started a few days ago were you had to turn the key twice for it to start but now nothing at all... i have power and the key turns with no problem all the lights come on as normal then when turned to start nothing... i have read most the posts about it and they seem differant to mine i have no problems with steering lock or battery low etc.. it unlocks and locks key turns fine..just nothing after the secound turn.. before when it took two times it always fired so doubt its starter i have no idea.. any help out there or a point in the right direction with thanks ps i have a video of trying to start but carnt upload

Whats the battery voltage reading ?

My L322 was doing similar with a topped up battery i figured the starter was on the fritz. Bought a replacement. its fine now. replacement not fitted.

Check the earth straps block to body.

thanks guys not checked the battery voltage yet i know that they dont like to be under 12.3v at all but it just seems strange that it worked fine yesterday and not today??
Batteries can just die, happened on my P38, came home from town, Half an hour later got a call to pick someone up from th airport and the battery was dead.

As above- battery health and charge - do the dash lights go off when trying to crank ?

Wiring loose

Starter motor solenoid

Ignition switch is another relatively common problem, there is thread here somewhere showing what fuses to test voltage on.

Immobiliser maybe .

Mine had similar problems were it would take a couple of tries and then one morning nothing. If it starts first time by a jump start or jump pack it’s 100% your battery. Changed mine and it’s been ok since

Earth, negative, stores depleted due to lock down and self consumption, stand by and I'll be over, over, er, over o_O
How's things Ma'am ?:)

Hi guys thanks for the replys found a thread saying (turn key to crank position and hold for 3 seconds then try and start) tried this today and it fires every time but what does this mean?? No click from the starter just fires up as normal...
