Hi there,

here I am, back again at my restoration project! The old lady is running just fine again, even more important, she is completey rust free! Well, she was last summer, now there is the one or other spot again, most worriesome two spots at the right hand rear door...

That being said, the next steps are the interior and a second battery. And for the interior, I have two questions:

- How do I find out which colour the original carpet set was supposed to have? Brown or beige? I could always settle for some of the shelf black carpets, but, you know...

- The old lady has electric windows fitted, after market ones. And I somehow messed up the rear ones... Do you have any idea where I can find a set of manual ones for the rear doors? So far I had no luck with the usual suspects online, and no one seems to be breaking up any RRCs in a reasonable distance... If someone has a surplus set lying around, I wouldn't say no!

Stay safe out there, everyone!

Greetings,

Florian

I think the part numbers are MTC8906 & MTC8907. Presumably they're handed so you need one of each. Have a quick look at pics online to see if they look like yours.
ETA MTC8907 https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/1315827084?iid=292965329546
If they do, then according to Rimmers the Disco 1 used the same ones.

Depends on the car's exterior colour & model year.

That's a 182 in Sahara Dust, no idea about the original interior... Trim looks beige (plastic) and kind of brownish (carpets)? Gonna take some pictures later today, so!

Thanks for the tip, will certainly give it a look. Exmoor has the carpets for the two door available online, 570£ for a full set is even reasonably priced, kind of.

Sound deadening arrived this week, will be fitted over the weekend, hopefully! Wil get in touch with the guys you share, Ratae, next week.
