Hi guys, fitted new final stage resistor last week tested all ok, today put heater blower on and now it keeps running after ignition is turned off , any idea's please.

I had an issue on the P38 where I heard the fuel pump running all the time. Alternator was leaking current back the wrong way.
I have traced it back to the NEW final stage resistor, not happy paid good money from Bearnach, they will be getting some f*cks blasted there way once they answer the phone.

Sure? These cars are complex as hell. Current from wrong direction might cause all sorts of issues. Where from? Bad earth, bad alternator diode, bad fusebox, chafed wire .. the possibilities are endless.

That said, Bearmach are in the same bucket as ****part as far as I am concerned. I had one of their engine mounts and the damn pins snapped as I torqued up. Ended up putting the old ones back in.

2010 RR SC Fatty. Replaced Final Stage Resistor 4 times blower fan stays on STILL! Parts have been warrantied out but this is sucking away at my time off road! Fan still blows strong... Works for a few days sometimes more never the same. Then boom another one dies. What is the root cause? Do I need to replace the fan? Doesn't seem like it.. please help!

Hi, it could be the control board behind the switch gear,Shaw someone one will be along soon with an idea. Rob

Is it the high humidity in Kentucky?

No I don't believe so as it has happened during the driest times of the season... At my wit's end for sure. Disconnecting my battery cable every time I park or replacing an FSR every other week is no longer cutting the mustard.
