Me and a buddy have taken sometime to make some rock sliders for my 2004 td4. We've made them fit in the position under the sil unlike the off the shelf parts you can buy. They also use the side step mounting points so fitting didnt take too long, however we used an extra 'leg in the center for added strength and just added some more holes and rivnuts.
If anyone is intrested then i'll put some pictures up.

The off the shelf ones don't use rivnuts but metal plates with nuts welded to them that are slid into the outriggers through the larger holes.
