Arse!
Need some ideas guys, I have the purple/white wire switched via the switch beside the hazard switch, I have a little number plate kind of lamp, I am about to drill holes in my dash, what did you guys do?

Top of the bulkhead to illuminate the rear load bed, or the centre windscreen frame with the rear view mirror would be my suggestions.

Bought this from P&P back in 2013 for my 90 soft-top, don't know if they are still making them? Fits to the standard mirror bracket so no modification or drilling necessary. The second (un-used) cut-out is for alarm sensors.
First saw it in the "new products" page of LRO, always used to give that a viewing as several times a new product has come to market without being noticed elsewhere.

How does it handle the rain ?

Cheers

"How does it handle the rain?"

What, the light or the soft-top?
The soft-top doesn't leak so the light doesn't get exposed to water.

That bracket would be an easy make

That bracket looks ideal. Apparently there is a LR light but its been discontinued, it was in a plastic trim and used on NAS vehicles. I have a map light at the moment but it would be nice to have one to illuminate the whole interior.

I’ve got two of these stuck to the frame behind the mirror. Very bright and only a couple of quid for four strips off that auction site

Protection & Performance, manufacturer & supplier of roll-cages etc..

If I remember correctly they didn't list the bracket on the website so I had to ring them to order.

36 quid isnt cheap though, but it does resolve a problem, is the lamp included or is that just the bracket?

I guess there is a little bit of work going into them, laser cut, two bends then plated.
