Colin would be the man to ask that question, Wammers. Regarding the "tit-for-tat" discussion yesterday between you and Keith, what was constructive for the forumites on here?

When someone, no matter who it is, posts something misguided i reserve the right to correct it. You would do well to realise just who some of your heros contact when THEY have a problem. However i will not expand on that comment. Now be a good lad and stop stirring the crap.

Thought I'd attack the drivers side blend motor again, don't have the courage to look at the passenger side yet.
It's still not happy but not giving any fault code either! Ignition on it cycles fully cold to fully hot, then refuses to budge until i turn the ignition off and back on at which point out repeats the cold/hot cycle. Calibration maybe?
If it was getting an unexpected reading from the pot, surely I'd get a fault code?
I'm getting codes for the passenger one but I've not started to look at that yet
The gears are fine, the motor seems fine in both directions and the pot gives sensible readings

It sounds like the timing may be out. If you have diagnostics, you should be able to exercise it.

Timing? Exercise?
I do have nanocom now! I can force calibration, which cycles cold hot on request, but can't 'force' a particular value ie 10% 20% etc it just stays on hot

Not got a Nanocom I have Faultmate, I can send the blend flap to any position, I would have thought that the Nanocom would be able to do the same.

It has ability, but the motor doesn't respond. Only moves when i request calibration, which i can do more than once without issue and no error code generated

Do you see different feedback values for cold & hot, can you see the value change as it does a calibration cycle?
I'm sure it's a feed back or timing problem.

If the pot is performing correctly and it has been assembled correctly it should be fine. Every time the ignition is switched on the blend motors should cycle then return to their selected position. Have you run calibration with Nanocom?

Yes i see the value change but can't see if it goes all the way to zero or not as going thru the menus is too slow.
I did take the lid off the motor while still plugged in and turned the pot by hand, it went from 0-92 without any apparent dodgy readings in between

Yes I've done the calibration, which cycles from current position to cold, then hot and stops
