Please can someone help me out and put up a picture of inside the engine bay that shows the pipework layout that connects the engine to the round smiths heater. I've got the tap on the front of the engine and a small vertical pipe sticking up on the back of the block but nothing in between and no idea what to buy.

TIA Rob

You can make it out of copper/steel tube or reinforced hose.
Pipe from front tap to heater
Pipe from rear of engine by bulkhead to heater.
These run other side of spark plugs.
make sure the tap works before connecting

Std heater hose and copper pipe works well, but check the dia carefully, one size of hose goes over pipe easily, one is really hard. If you find you need a dia hose that slighly loose on the copper cut a yorkshire fitting up and solder it on as a ring.
