I've recently become a Td4 HSE (manual) owner. It doesn't have cruise control fitted as standard which is something I would have found very useful.

My previous motor would differ with others of the same model. It didn't have an interior temperature sensor for example. This was an easy fix as the wiring already existed. It was just a case of getting the foil sensor and plugging it in.

My query is. Is it known if all Td4's will have the same wiring harness throughout Td4 range? My immediate thinking is yes. If correct, I'll attempt to add the genuine cruise control kit.

Could anyone shine some light on this.

have a look under the drivers seat and there is a slit in the carpet if the wiring for the ecu is there that's where it will be also take the top of your steering wheel (hex bolts)and see if the wiring is there for the control switch also as yours is the hse same as mine it will have the wiring next to the cut off switch for the reverse sensors ,if it has then get a second hand ecu this will work without being programed good luck

Done it on mine (manual TD4 HSE '06) soon after we got it (four years now).
It's great for towing and long trips.
Looks standard and works well. :cool2:
From my research - most of the aftermarket kits are the same & made by TDK with different badges.
Don't forget to tell your insurers!
Some info on what I did.;)

CC was only an option on auto box FL1s as the gearbox ECU(TCM) forms part of the control system. So unless it's an automatic, it's pointless looking at the OE system.

There aftermarket CC kits available which would come with their own harness anyway. ;)

I think you may have missed the whole wiring up an aftermarket CC kit to oem controls question Nodge ;)
