Is that not just making the problem worse in the long run by drawing more oil out of the already dried out plastic?
I suppose it depends on whether your vehicle has a long run left in it...

Works on some plastics but not all.

Will need redoing from time to time.

Half baby oil & half mineral oil mixture. Apply to clean plastic areas, let it sit in the sun for a few hours and then wipe off.
Lasts about 6-8 months.

I tried the Gtechniq stuff Dopey, but it just seemed like over-priced nail varnish. Did you get decent results? Anyone's welcome to have my half-used bottle. I'll throw in free postage, to get it off my shelf
