Speedometer doesn't work

Hi folks,

I have a problem with speedometer, it doesn't shows any speed and mileage.
How should I check, if for that no signal is responsible speedometer or speed transducer or any other things?
Which colors of wires showed on enclosed picture are responsible for connection between speed transducer and speedometer.

I'll appreciated for any advice.

Year and model of the vehicle would be helpful in trying to narrow things down

On a 99 MY, it should be a black red wire for the signal from the transducer to the speedo

thank you, I will try to find a signal from the transducer or first of all check the earth wires, black I guess.

thank you, I 'll try to follow according to this diagrams. Nevertheless I checked the transducer signal and it send the signal properly. Also the power is in the speedometer pink socket looks ok. Speedometer still is death. I replace it into another one (not brand new) and the same results.

There must be something wrong, because the fuel gauge also shows wrong fuel level. It shows full tank, even it is not full, or if I swapped each other wires in socket near the gauge it shows empty but without low fuel warning light. there no any gauge reading between full and empty. The fuel pomp is brand new, event fuel level sensor.
