Hello,

The speedometer is in mph, be nice to have the odometer the same....I think I read somewhere its not easy as its on the ECU unit....
thank you..yet again.

Thank you gents, sorry used the wrong term....I meant to say the mile ometer, not sure if its the correct term. Its the feature that records vehicle mileage.Currently its in km.

As they already said above, press the black button on the dashboard for a few seconds and it will change between KM and Miles.

Cheers

Hate to disagree with you, but I use this feature sometimes and only the trip mileometer changes in this way. Unless there is another way of doing it.

Try pressing it for a few seconds, because it deffo worked on my D2 , changed from KM to Miles and vice versa. It is not just a quick press.

Just realised that it's "Import" so not UK market which means that the units will change from miles to km or vice versa only if it's NAS or Canadian market, for ROW that function is disabled, tried with mine and it doesnt do anything

from WSM - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION 88-7
A push button located next to the LCD is utilised to reset the trip meter to zero and to change the units from miles to kilometres. Pressing the button for less than 2 seconds allows the display to reset to zero. Pressing the button for more than 2 seconds changes the units from miles to kilometres and vice versa. The units will only change for UK, NAS and Canadian market vehicles.

Yes your right Sierrafery it doe snot change, the clock is in mph,but the lower bit recording distance travelled and odometer is km sadly.I thought the lower odometer had changed but due to old eyes and bad light i now see its still at km, tried pressing for 30 secounds.
It is a Jap import as well.

Could a garage do it with a modern reader type machine? like a nano com etc...I have been told that it can affect auto change gearbox if adjusted, am a bit sceptical but could be right.?..any thoughts.

I know that there is an option in nanocom BCU settings to change the market of the vehicle but i don know how this would affect things or if it fixes your issue as i didnt try myself nor want to risk it..,.. if you find somebody with nanocom worh a try to set it o UK and see what happens, this is reversible

Thank you,I did wonder about buying a nano com myself, but I did contact the maker. They do assume you know what your doing with one which I would not.So have paused. Then i thought I could take it to the garage I go to so they could do the stuff with it..Alot of garages do not seem to have gear to test or analyse my Disco....I had the same problem with a mobile lock smith who said his machine only went back 15 years.

Others have bought a secondhand instrument pod, with miles on it, but I think you get stuck with the mileage it comes with, which if it is bigger than your. you might not want. but others on here will put you right on it. Is there a special reason you want it to work in the Brit style?
