You can’t bleed the conventional way by yourself, not effectively anyway. Reverse bleed it by yourself and wait until you have a helper to finish it off.

Course you can, the master will pump more down than it sucks back up.

Well finally done it, got one of those, self bleed thingys from halfords took me ages , says one man bleed kit on the box, but they didn't realise I had to pump the pedal , keep the master topped up, and run round the other side , crawl under the truck to look at the air in tube, then loosen or tighten nipple, crawl back out run back round top the master up, wedge the pedal down, then again and again, don't know how many times I done it but Im knackered now, would rather do a bloody assault course then that again :D. Anyway it worked Brakes Next.

Sure you can pump the clutch pedal down, while opening and closing the bleed nipple at the same time!

If the end of the pipe is submerged in clean, fresh fluid you dont need to close the nipple, on the last pump you hold the pedal down (if you wish, you dont HAVE to) with something to jam it open then close the nipple.
You are not creating a pressurised system, you are just filling a pipe with fluid.

Gravity bleed it, fill master, crack bleed nipple on slave, a few pumps , not foot to floor to initiate syphon, wait until fluid runs out without letting master run dry, it doesnt hold much. Engine off.
If it wont gravity bleed, do all above but put clear pipe from bleed nipple into a half full jar or bottle of fluid, pump a few times until the level in the jar rises and no air bubbles are present, make sure the end of the pipe is submerged so it doesnt suck in air.

Be aware that air can get in through the threads of the bleed nipple.

Even doing it that way it can still get air in the system, you said it yourself, through the threads. The only way to be certain is to tighten the nipple while it’s under pressure. That needs 2 people.

My block of wood to jam the pedal down will act as my second person as will be on my own.

Only really on the upstroke of the pedal, air entering on the pressure stroke will automatically leave the system with the fluid. The problem with this is it can give you a false reading as you will see air in the pipe from nipple to jar of fluid when there isnt any air in the system.
