Hi folks,
I have a weird air suspension issue and am not sure where the problem is.
I was filling up with fuel yesterday and the passenger side randomly inflated itself to the maximum height. I ended up driving off with the car leaning over and found it corrected itself a mile or so down the road.
Fast forward to today and driving along, it's done it again. I have tried pressing the button to try and level the rear out one way or another but it doesn't. The light on the dash flashes, I get the chiming noise and can hear the compressor either run and stop or hiss to let the air out but the blasted thing hasn't levelled out still.

Am I looking at a new pair of ride height sensors or a replacement SLABS ECU? I'm pretty confident the bags aren't an issue, I don't get any air loss at all overnight.

+1 on disconnecting battery first (make sure you have your radio code if applicable)
I did both of mine not so long ago no problem. Worth getting the bolts too as they will probably be well rusty.

Yeah, the situation got worse...the nearside air spring exploded earlier on. It scared the absolute life out of me. I can only imagine that the sensor is faulty and the compressor kept topping the bag up with more air until it couldn't take it anymore.

I will be phoning the garage in the morning to get a quote for replacing the bag and height sensor. I will keep you updated when that is solved.

For sure is to late to say, but in my case I drove very slow home, then deflate air spring with nanocom, this way my air spring was fine.

I manually deflated the bag by unscrewing the pipe from the valve block, back to roughly normal ride height and as soon as I drove the car again it reinflated itself.
Luckily I was doing about 3mph as I turned into my street.

Bit late now but if I had replied sooner I would have said; yes faulty ride height sensors is almost certainly your problem and don't drive with it like that as your air bag will explode, ask me how I know! They do go with an almighty bang don't they. :(
