Showoff :p

I've done just over 100,000 miles in my Defender since I got it and I don't see what all the fuss is about. It's perfectly comfortable. The most I've done in a day is 700 miles, and the only thing that's wrong with me at the end of it is the sole of my foot is numb where I've been pressing on the accelerator.
Noisy, draughty wet inside, hard ride, less comfortable and refined than the Iveco truck I drove for a while. Great for off road if it doesn't break down, otherwise you can keep it. My mate has a modern Defender, kills my back when we go out in it

Now now boys, what did I say about playing nice??

The not very old Defender has already suffered a serious oil leak from the transmission, a failed water pump and EGR problems:rolleyes:

My old Defender 90 almost never went wrong. Had to replace a starter and jury-rigged something up to replace the ignition switch. Took some serious abuse including being rolled and a 200 ton tree dropping on it. Pity it rotted.

Audi Audi Audi :rolleyes::oops::D

Same as mine Grrrrrr, Jerry rigged everything in the end but chassis was rotten beyond repair. Did some blummin work from day one though was a state in the end. Looked it up not long ago and was on the road :eek:
guy I sold it too reckons only part on it now that I owned was the number plate
