Hello, my 2003 year discovery 2 has 4.0 V8 engine. The car has hunting. At high RPM the receipt of engine check is flashing and is loosing power. I have changed spark plugs, spark plug wires, ignition coils, injectors, fipl, detonation sensor but it is not fixed.when I plug in OBD it writes sometimes about second barrel and sometimes about seventh barrel. It shows problem of differrent barrel every time.Sparks are getting black. Plese let me know if anyone can give an advice. In my country noone could find out the reason

@Shippers - we have to help this guy. His intro in ‘general’ said go to ‘D section’ they told him come here as they all drive diesels, we tell him go back....

He’s gone round in circles all month poor fella

I said go to D section cause not a lot of members look at E section...I couldn't understand his post re barrels etc and was hoping someone would ask what diag reader he is using...

You said the natural thing, I looked at his threads it’s everywhere telling him go somewhere else? He’s been at it for a month and likely not speako anglais
Kermit’s spider sense was tingling for 4.0 woes...

Any ideas what we can do/who would know?

To be honest if its not been picked up by now by members theres a reason...
I could go through the question and answer thing...have you replaced with oem parts what diag equip used have you taken to a LR certified garage...but at the end of the day it's a 20yr old lad in a country I know nothing about so my limited help would be useless...

Can we have some more history please.
Did it run fine before these problems?
Did anything odd happen, change, need fixing, anything unusual before the problem started? If there is such a thing then undoing that may take things back to how they were.
Can you describe in detail how the car drives now.

it was good when i changed spark plugs started this problem and cant fix it almost 1 month

^^What rob says.
Did you check all the new plugs were properly gapped before you fitted them?

Black spark plugs is a Rich running condition, best plug in a good OBD reader and look at live data.
Lambda sensors are a common point on the Thor V8's best check live data at the lambda voltages they should go back and forth between 0-5v
When they fail the default is to run rich and the lambda sensor showing 1V or thereabouts is rich.
:)

He posted some OBD screen shots in another post, but it looked to me like the OBD was not settling on a diagnosis which is why I'm thinking its a fault that is not on the diagnostics but which is throwing up a lot of rieadings which are. Lamda could do that perhaps? If it all began with a plug change my thinking is to go over everything that got disturbed.

On the Thor engine the coil packs ground through the bolts/body make sure all bolts are secured tight and clean.
