Hello everyone.

Just got my first defender and I was wondering, What do I have to do to fit a rev counter? I’ve got a 05 td5. Is the wiring already in place behind the clock? Any help or hints about the 90 would be great.

Thanks Ben

If you want a rev counter in the TD5 defender there are various options available I think there was someone on here making them a few years ago, but I got one from Croytec. http://www.croytec.co.uk/all-products/vdo-products/td5-rev-counters/ There's a pin (no. 19) on the black ECU plug that it needs a feed from, plus an ignition switched live and a feed for the instrument light. The Croytec kit comes with Scotchlock style clip on self piercing connectors. Throw these away and use proper connectors instead or you'll never be able to hold your head up high on landyzone again.
