Hi
I've just purchased my first freelander 2 which I love. I paid for the garage to install a new towbar, to which they did. But now my parking sensors do not work (they did when I test drove the car without towbar on)
Is this a common thing or have the garage made a mistake? Or do sensors not work with towbar? Or can it be fixed.?
Thanks for any advice

Welcome.
This is the introduction section. Where you , as a new member, tell us a little about you and your vehicle. Which is nice, and establishes a community feeling in new members. Rather than the smash and grab approach for advice, in a first post.
Technical advice can be found in the relevant forum. Just go to main board and look for Freelander. :)

Sorry new to this!
I have just purchased my 1st Landrover (Freelander 2 - 59 plate) I've always had Lexus and Honda, and but must say so far I love my new car! I may have been converted!
Originally bought to pull my daughters horsebox, to which I would imagine will have no problem doing. I was really reluctant to begin with as so many people tried to put me off by saying it would be in the garage more than on the road, but hoping with the full service history and no major advisories on the Mots except for wear and tear stuff like tyres it will be OK.
Look forward to hearing lots of tips and advice from you all.

I was hoping it would be a quick fix I could do as garage is a 4hr round trip. I'll give them a ring, thanks for your help.
Any car as you know will do well if looked after, some 4x4's aren't looked after because of expense. They then get sold on for big money and need more money. If you look after it then it'll run forever.... Well, à few months before something else goes....
Ask at the garage if they installed a specific towbar kit for the fleelander.
A cheaper kit may not be specific and cut sensors when a trail or it fitted. A vehicle specific one should. Maybe the sensors have failed in coincidence?
Good luck and welcome :D
