P38A 1999/2000 P38 2.5 Diesel Auto box buggered?

I used Millermatic synthetic Dex III in mine..

smooth as silk..

But a this stage with yours anything is better than whats in it..

Topped up the ATF, worked for a couple of miles then back to where we were. Bugger.

Was it topped up correctly?
Topped up with engine running,
Run it slowly through all the gears and back to park with engine running and foot on the brake, the oil level then re-checked again with the engine running.
With the gearbox temperature at around 38°.

Well apart from taking its temperature, yes.

It's only because oil swells slightly as it heats.
It may be worth a second opinion from a fellow member or specialist?
