Living in sheep country makes it impossible to let the dogs off the leads to have a run EXCEPT down by the river on the local common. Unfortunately, all roads leading that way were severely blocked, for some reason all our hill water seemed to be in a rush to get away to the rivers.

I have lived in this area for almost twenty years now and I have never seen so much flooding. Every road seems to be blocked at the moment.

'tis nice and sunny here as well. My solar chargeable devices are filling their bellies with the lovely free energy.
Still a bit windy though but nowhere near as bad as it was over the past few days.

When I say 'calm' I don't mean still! It's still blowing well but nothing like what we have had and I am sure it will gather speed again, soon.

Raining again & fields are water logged.
Drained some water out the pond so can do a water swap. 1k liltres should do...

Spent the day sorting out stuff in the house ready to put the place up for sale. I told my daughter she can have any money she makes selling anything we don't want.... She has made over £100 this afternoon alone!!!

It's still rainin' and the wind has not packed in yet but, compared to what it has been like, this is almost like summer!
The flooding, which fortunately does not affect us up 'ere, will not recede until the main Towy river is able to flow on to the sea - it is tidal up to about 30 miles from us - and that will take some time to empty the vast flood plains and cope with the water coming down from the 'ills. At least our flood plains have not been built on!

I honestly don't know how building on flood plains is even allowed.
