Got the spread in to do the bathroom walls today. Workin on his burpday coz he's a bit behind, bless him. Have boughts im a cake.

Busy feeding me open fire with last years stock of waste timber. I loves me open fire place, but its days are numbered and will be taken out this year .

SWMBO loves our log burner. Took bags of old tiles an plaster to the tip yesterday an a bloke pulls up in a flat bed wif half a ton of logs on it. The tip bloke turned him away coz it was a works truck, SWMBO was straight in there an the chap kindly dropped em off at ours. Win win .

I like log burners. I have not ruled out fitting one in place of me open fire. But it is a big job involving opening the wall out - fire place is small - and rebuilding the chimney above the roof. Very handy as a back up heating system.

Woke @ 7 but had a lie-in till 9.
Am avoiding storm Dennis and not BBQ'ing steaks tonight.
Instead, I have just flash fried a lump of silverside and plonked it in the slow-cooker.
By about 4PM the house will be full of a really rich, meaty beef aroma.

No storm Dennis here, no wind, no rain!! Hasn't stopped them cancelling the trains though

Sadly, no dog walk today - roads closed due to flooding.
