As title says, besides the "introduce yourself" forum, it seems appriopriate I'd share a picture of my SIII in this forum.

She's from 1979, so road-tax free (as per Dutch regulations) and will probably outlive me (not there's anything wrong with me, AFAIK!), so see it more as being a custodian than an owner.
 
I know and agree! At some point I'd like to replace the wheels with original rims and matching tyres, in which case the arches can go. Just hope that beneath the arches all is well. I'm also looking to replace the front bumper as well to a single, galvanised bar, preferably one that has some nice age to it also. That would bring the Landy back to just about original.
 
Welcome. A tidy looking landy. As posted if you want to improve its original specification; the station wagon hard top should be all limestone not just the roof, but your roof is rare ventilation version. The non standard wheels don’t look right. Apart from that, enjoy .

Thanks John, I wasn't aware that the whole hard top should be lime. That may be a longer time coming; I want to avoid the as-new look, it's a 40+ year old vehicle, so some natural aging is actually nice. As the wheel arches are the exact same colour as the body, I suspect the car was repainted at some point. The Safari-roof (as they're called here in Netherlands often) is a major bonus indeed.

Nope. My station wagon sides are marine Blue from factory as well.

That's interesting. I've got some square, recessed window side panels for my marine blue 88 van eventually; I was going to go lime with them for the original look but good to know blue could be original too.

Checked several places, the blue paint looks to be original, so no need to go lime for originality's sake. Here's a picture (pretty bad picture actually, sorry, but you get the idea).

Actually quite like the colour as it is.

Hi John, seems to me that the blue may be the original colour of the hard top; in this thread I posted a photo in reply to Rubins4 comment in this thread.

Checked mine, looks like it is original also; there's a (poor) picture in reply to Rubins4 in this thread. pretty moot, but nice to know it is original!
