Hi My freelander 2 2007 hse has problem with radio/ sat nav/ Bluetooth/parking sensors ! The radio/sat nav etc keeps turning on and off on its own ? I assume as this is all connected that’s why parking sensors are faulty when unit not on ? I’ve tried a most bypass on all the bits in system but still switches on and off and now mostly off with no display on nav screen or front panel and help please would be appreciated

Which modules have you bypassed on the most system?

which modules do you have the light at when it’s in a fault state as that narrows it down to which part of the ring is not working

So far I have bypassed nav unit, amp and Bluetooth, face panel puts out flashing red on one side of its socket when most is unplugged from it ?

In the most circuit in order are:

Radio faceplate
Touchscreen
Nav computer
Amp
Phone
DAB (if fitted)
Head unit

what you need to do is work around the circuit when it’s in a faulting state and isolate which one isn’t working.

each module has an in and out for the red light so the light stops at the faulty module.

good luck and hope I’ve explained it well enough

Ok Thankyou will try again, that confirms thought I had that the faceplate would be first as it gives out the flashing red when most not connected, I guess that’s on permanently when it gets return signal from head unit via all other bits if they are all working, hope I can still test now as power does not appear to be on anything for Very long now

Hi, thanks for your response, however since last time ive now got nothing at all, nothing lights up ? no radio, no sat nav, no parking sensors ? ive taken dash off again and now not even getting most signal anywhere, as though there is no power to anything at all ? ive checked all relevant fuses and all ok ? is there a central infotainment module that controls it all ? ive tried hard reset too ?? any help ?
