Confused about wheels/tyres, help!

Hi,
I have a 110 which came with mostly G90 7.5 x 16's fitted to standard steel rims (not Wolf type).
They are older and cracking on the side walls although with plenty of tread. Today I found one of the fronts was completely flat (I'm in between homes right now and it's stored about half an hour away from me, so not getting much use at the moment).

I pumped the tyre up and it held so it is probably a slow puncture. I will check it again tomorrow to see.

Anyway, I had in mind to get a new set of tyres and I'd like to keep it 'original' so probably another set of 7.5x16's.

Now, the G90's have 'tubeless' marked on them, but I read elsewhere that the rims require that you fit tubes regardless. Presumably I can get a tube fitted to the (maybe punctured) tyre as a stop gap?

Do I need to fit tubes with standard steel rims, regardless of the tyres?
Is it worth fitting them anyway?
Any suggestions on what tyres to fit/where to buy them from?

Riveted standard rims should have a tube fitted regardless of the type of tyre fitted. If a tyre says it's tubeless it means it can be fitted to a suitable tubeless rim without a tube. I have heard of people fitting tyres to standard rims without tubes and without problems but I would not do that myself. The last of the standard rims were tubeless but they have this stamped on the rim.

Rims designed for tubeless tyres have an extra ridge either side to retain the tyre's bead, it may not be safe to use tyres without tubes on the incorrect rims. The part number in the centre of the rim will tell you if a factory rim is tubeless or not
I gave up on tubed rims on mine and treated it to some Wolf rims from Paddocks. They may also be able to fix you up with tyres, I have always used remoulds for mud tyres.

As its a 110 there's a good chance your rims are tubless, the older 109 rims are tubed. If you put the two side by side they are obviously different but if you only have one its not so easy. As the tubless bead retaining lips are rolled into the rim they are visible.
