Hello everyone can anyone tell me if its possible to track down an old landrover so u can buy it back or does anyone know who has it the Reg is P369JOX it would be great to get this back.

You can check its mot history to see where its been done, but you cant trace the owner from the dvla unless you have certain legal grounds to do so. A member of the public cannot for example

The test centre location can only be found via the MOT history site if the the V5C number from the latest log book is entered.
So how does a previous owner obtain that ?

Well, if you knew then number it would mean you were either working for the DVLA or you have the V5C, or wrote then number down when you sold it.
I think we can sssume this is doen to prevent people selling a car but keeping a key, then chasing down the car's new address and simply driving it away.
With three Discos I am glad this exists to stop others nicking any of them!
You do read, for instance in LRM, of peeps who have publicised their desire to buy back there old Landies and in two numbers recently, this has worked. So you could try that. Best of luck!

So the point of noting the V5C number before you sell the vehicle is? The new owner will receive a new V5C on change of ownership complete with a new number.
Hence DVLA requiring the V5C number from the ‘latest log book’ as I stated above, which, other then the authorities only the vehicles present owner would have.

Never knew they changed it, kinda thort it went with the vehicle. I bow to your superior knowledge!;)

Well I am happy about it as that is yet another protection for the newest owner.:):):)

You can request details if you use a v888 form from the DVLA & if it has been previously owned by the OP
You will need to come up with a good reason for them to give you the info.
