sadly no search function working...

2000 110 CSW TD5

Front o/s chassis rail under servo has valve in brake lines. V rusty (but no apparent effect on braking).

Is this a ‘brake bias valve’? Is it serviceable? If not is this correct description and any highly recommended source for new one?

Comments advice guidance welcome please, thx A

Is it serviceable?

A four wheel brake tester will tell you this - but good luck finding one ;) if the deafener stops in a straight line when loaded and unloaded, it's probably working ...

It being rusty on the outside will be irrelevant to its function - but it would be better to clean it up and get some proper wax on it ....

When was your brake fluid last changed ? more than 2 years ago ??! then you have a job :)

Brilliant thanks chaps.

(Watch/email function working just as well as the search function it seems - would have replied sooner)

Brake fluid change was ages ago - I'll get stuck in, see what I find, and refurb to within an inch of its life..... :)
