Head unit and mirror advice pls

Hello guys/Gals
Been a few years, but, back in a 38 as a 2nd car to tinker with.
I’ve had a 1996 4.0 se. Only a couple of daft issues for its age, and no bleeps
Done me a few little jobs, like Hevac Display, valve block/pump rebuild and got 4 x new Dunlop’s to go on,
Now, the previous owner removed the original head unit and cd changer! Everything is there to plug back in, but, it’s got the Harmon Kardon system with sub in boot, I want to replace head unit with the original spec, which model do I need please? I’m guessing a clarion but not sure, and while I’m here, my wing mirrors are fubar! I have a pair off a 2000, obviously different design, but fit, also different plugs, can I cut plugs off mine and just go colour to colour? Tia

Are one set of mirrors a "memory" set.
I have them on mine with a few more wires than the standard units. Have you seen the price difference? :eek:
I was wondering if it's possible to change just the motors between the two.
I'll have a look at my d stereo I removed from mine for a model number. I've got the Harmon system and sub. Maybe that'll help. Your search. ;)

I’ve removed my nearside mirror and all fixings snapped! I’m guessing they are the type that dip on reverse? They’ve come off a 4.0 2000 Thor mines a 1996 gems, new mirrors look better!, just wandering if I can just join the colours that match?, my neighbour deals in scrap cars, for £100 he’s let me have 5 x 18” alloys with new tyres, all the later lights apart from headlights as bolts was being a pain, I’ve had the eas pump, battery cover, mirrors and internal mirror, then taking the full stainless exhaust off for me too when it gets weighed in lol
Just want to get the old girl good again

Im thinking if they can’t be wired, I’ll not chop plugs off, that way I can pick up a good pair for mine and sell these on I’m sure Keith will know the answer to this, hope Tony is still as knowledgeable as ever too

Mine is a 97my with harmam kardon with six cd auto, amp, bass speaker and clarion diversity if that help but some models had alpine but i dont know the spec that came with then.
