Hi all.
I have a 2003 Discovery 2 which came with one key. My friend ordered a key after having trouble with his disco 2. I tried using HawkEye to program the key to his car with no luck. The key has two barcode numbers which I entered into HawkEye and after you put the second code in it asks if there is another key to program and then goes back to the previous menu (the security menu). I tried the new key but nothing happened. I decided to try and program the key into my car to see if it was the key, the car or something with my HawkEye. I followed the steps, entered in the two codes and tried the key. When I pressed the button on the new key that I had just tried to program nothing happened. I then tried my original key and found out that the car no longer responds to that key either. So now I cannot start my car and the HawkEye will not even communicate with it which I found strange as it will communicate with my friends.
Does anyone have any suggestion on what to do now with either car? Also does anyone know of someone with a Nanocom in the Norwich, Norfolk area if that would help?

What originally went wrong with my friends car:
The car unlocked fine and he moved it to load it up. When he went to start it again the car would not start and the red flashing light stayed on when the ignition was turned on.

Sounds like you now need the EKA code for your car.

cannot help with the hawkeye as I have only ever used the nanocom to program keys.

Cheers

If he had kept it unlocked and then tried to restart it, ask him to lock it and then unlock it and try again.

Thank you for your response Neilly, unfortunately I think the EKA code is turned off for my car. With regards to my friends car the remote does not lock or unlock the car and the key only fits the ignition and not the door (I am guessing it has been replaced at some point). Also when I try to open: https://www.rangeroverowner.com/rave-workshop-manual it comes up with page not found.

That is a link , must be an old rave website , I will delete it, BUT I was talking about the attachment. there are two on that post. You want the alarm one.

Cheers
