Drove it! Went up the Old Man Range, southwest of Alexandra, to the Obelisk 1682m. A bit cloudy and chilly up there and there was still some snow blocking the track to the south.

Merry Christmas to All.

So aside from admiring @Bounty's great pic, today I spent an hour waiting for the RAC after the FL stopped dead - after a family lunch at Porthtowan - causing a bit of traffic chaos. The alternator packed up and I'm hoping that it is the cause of recent rough running and gear change issues, and that the missfire is not a coincidental double whammy of pain. Very strange behaviour has been going on of late including all sorts of lights and F4 stuff before the demise today.

I've got a diagnostic device that reads everything on the FL1 auto now, so if you can get it to me, I can take a look. ;)

Thanks John. This latest problem is definitely the alternator, but if my missfire continues after the new one is on I might well be paying you a visit. :)

Aha, but should I bring the TD4 auto, TD4 manual, Green V6, Silver V6 or the 1.8 G4?? Suggest a diary check and a pm or 2 with suitable dates?
